Fitness Test
Fitness analysis by Dantest program is the quantitative and qualitative assessment of the fitness and training levels based on HRV analysis.

The duration of the analysis process is five minutes after a five minute period of the candidate in a sitting position. The test commences after a two minute process of the candidate assuming standing position. The initial test commences at the sitting position for 30 seconds followed by standing for 30 seconds and repeated alternatively for three minutes. The process necessitates pre-cordial attachment of the electrodes as per instructions. The data collected from mean cardio tachogram and spectrum is analyzed to produce eventual results in quantitative and qualitative data format.
Physiological Basis Of The Fitness Test
Fitness assessment is the response of the heart-vascular reaction during orthostatic stress – standing and switching between sitting and standing position. This response includes vasoconstriction of the peripheral blood vessels (arterioles) and the acceleration of the heartbeat rhythm. These two reactions protect the brain from decrease in the oxygen supply when the body is in standing position. Dantest reflects and calculates the change in the cardiotachogram and in the frequency spectrum of the cardiointervals during the test. The two phenomena are different when there are differences in the ability of the heart and the blood vessels to overcome the orthostatic stress, that is, when the training (fitness) levels are different.
Non-trained individuals, individuals with limited physical activity (immobilization) and individuals with overweight react in a specific way to this type of stress.
Fitness Analysis can be used also for assessing sick people with cardiovascular disorders such as – abnormal increase or decrease of blood pressure, myocardiosclerosis, different types of myocardiopathy, myocardial stroke, heart transplantation, etc. In all these cases the test provides additional (forecast) information, which can be supplemental to the data received from the conventional test procedures assessing the cardiovascular system.
The general approach is to balance ANS or restore it to homeostasis. However, you can and should develop your own methods, based on the needs of specific cases. Evaluating a patient's ANS State using Fitness Test before and after any treatment can provide an accurate and reliable evaluation of treatment effectiveness. For example, in cardiology, it is very important to optimize the therapeutic strategy for the assessment of beta-blockers' effectiveness. Or, in clinical pharmacology, one of the important tasks is to assess the influence of some particular medicine on Autonomic function.
Main Results
The Main results are based on the Time-Domain and the Frequency-Domain analysis. These are the most factors in Fitness test analysis.
The scope of fitness condition from bad to good condition is presented on a scale at the bottom with numerical values of the results are displayed:
* Training (fitness) index
* Cardiac coefficient
* Vascular coefficient
Statistically important relation exists between the FITNESS test results and the results received from the veloergometric test assessment of maximum work capacity.
Unfavorable Fitness results are registered in sportsmen using different stimulating substances.
Fitness Analysis is a result of long-years scientific program during which numerous individuals have been tested (sportsmen, adults and cardiovascular patients). This analysis ensures a close relation between the obtained results and the actual health risk.
Description Of Fitness Test Results
From the mean cardiotachogram and the frequency spectrum, the following coefficients are calculated:
CARDIAC COEFFICIENT
The values of this coefficient below six (in relative units) are unfavorable and can be a result not only from inadequate heart training, but also from any kind of processes, which decrease the intensity of the myocardium constrictions.
VASCULAR COEFFICIENT
The values of this coefficient below six (in relative units) are unfavorable and can be a result of decreased sensitivity of the baroreceptors. The cause for this includes an increase in blood pressure or a beginning stage of atherosclerosis development.
TRAINING (FITNESS) INDEX
This is the general assessment of the patient’s capability to respond to the orthostatic stress requirements. Fitness index values below six (in relative units) are unfavorable and can be a result of immobilization, overweight, recovalescence and other types of diseases affecting the physical condition of the individual.
A statistically important correlation was determined between the Fitness analysis results and the veloergometric assessment of the maximum working capacity.
Usually, non-trained individuals exhibit slowdown of the heart accommodation - increased pulse while standing up and decreased pulse while sitting down.
The advantage of Fitness test is an easier, faster and safer execution, which makes it suitable for mass preventive examinations.
Unfavorable Results Of Fitness Analysis Tends To Be Dangerous
Immobilization and over-weight leads to negative physical fitness. This is one of the major factors of increased health risk in terms of cardiovascular and other pathological disorders.
